DYI Protein Smoothie

(makes one smoothie)

  • 1 cup of liquid (almond milk, kefir, coconut milk, dairy, etc.)

  • 1 handful of greens (baby spinach or kale)

  • 1 cup of frozen berries or other fruit

  • ½ frozen banana, chopped

  • 1 scoop of protein powder

  • 1 tbsp nut butter (peanut, almond, etc.)

Place the liquid and greens in a high-speed blender and blend. Add the fruit, banana, protein powder and nut butter and blend until smooth. If it's too thick, add more liquid. Drink immediately.


A single serving of this recipe (made with 2% milk) has 441 calories.
