3-Phase Procedure for Safely Re-Opening for Business

Aside from my family, your health and safety is my #1 priority, and every decision I’ve made has been guided by that premise.

The client feedback I received over the past week has been invaluable, and I’ve combined that with our local government and CDC guidelines to come up with our very own action plan.

Overview: I have decided upon a phased approach to reopening, similar to the 3-phased approach laid out by the government

Since massage businesses are currently still in Phase 1 here in Texas, I plan to abide by the State’s current mandates forbidding massage/fitness businesses to operate freely.

HOWEVER, Phase 1 of our State government’s reopening guidelines allow for LMTs (Licensed Massage Therapists) to perform clinical/medical massage under the written prescription of a doctor or chiropractor.

Therefore, for the time being, I will be providing clinical/medical massage services to clients in need of them. Do note that I must receive your medical prescription prior to booking your session, and that the State of Texas strictly forbids providing spa massage or massage for general wellness at this time.

In order to continue serving our community at the highest level, I will be waiting until Phase 2 to open the doors for “general wellness” massage services.

Based on concerns voiced from other clients, combined with my belief that it’s just too early to fling the doors open for everyone, I do not believe it’s the best decision to “blackmarket” services during Phase 1.

As long as I am physically able, I will continue to provide medically prescribed massage and hold personal training sessions online until I am permitted to open to the general public (hopefully when Phase 2 is rolled out).

I appreciate your patience as we work through our State’s reopening mandates!

When Phase 2 is announced, my plan is to:

  • Re-open my online schedule platform so that you may book your massage at your convenience.

  • Provide one-on-one personal training and fitness services (outdoors)

  • Limit availability to no more than two (2) massage appointments per day.

  • Continue maintaining sanitation, safety, and social distancing protocols.

When Phase 3 is announced, my plan is to:

  • Fully open my online schedule platform so that you may book your massage at your convenience.

  • Provide one-on-one personal training and fitness services (indoors or out)

  • Restore massage availability to normal business hours.

  • Continue maintaining sanitation, safety, and social distancing protocols.

Even with the best response and prevention plan, there is no guarantee that we will not acquire COVID-19 or other similar contagions. Therefore, I must stress the following caveat:

By entering my facility or using my services/equipment, you are doing so voluntarily. You are aware and fully agree to accept all known and unknown risks, including the potential risk of exposure to respiratory illnesses such as the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Although I regularly sanitize my facility using enhanced cleaning methods and enforcing social distancing as an office procedure, you understand that you may be exposing yourself to the coronavirus or its symptoms through no fault of my own. Known coronavirus symptoms include fever, coughing, shortness of breath, pneumonia, kidney failure, and may include other symptoms, stroke, or even death (collectively "Symptoms").

You understand and agree that you will be using my service and facility at your own risk. You will not hold me liable for any real or perceived Symptoms of COVID-19 or any other disease, illness, or condition, nor for exacerbating any existing symptoms.

Instead, you fully agree to accept all risks of entering my facility. Risk includes use of any equipment, personal training services, attending classes, receiving massage or other soft-tissue manipulative services, and/or potentially interacting with or exposure to other clients/members.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns what-so-ever, please reach out! I'm here for you!

Be healthy – and keep moving toward a better you,
