As a health and fitness professional, I care about your health and well-being, both immediately and in the long term!
That's why I've created this page about what I'm doing to maneuver through the COVID-19 virus (aka Coronavirus) crises…
I also wanted to provide pertinent information on what YOU can do to protect yourself.
Below you'll find an Immune Boosting Checklist that I've pulled together for you. It contains science-backed steps you can take to improve your immune function AND avoid picking up any unwanted germs. This includes any casual colds, flu, or stomach bugs that "happen" to be going around, too.
My clients are more than customers. They are friends I care deeply about.
I am asking that if you are not feeling well, please be considerate and avoid coming in for a massage, in-person coaching, or live, personal training. This also applies if you have come in contact with someone who has the COVID-19 virus within the past 15 days.
As much as I LOVE welcoming you with a hug or handshake upon your arrival, let's opt for doing air-high-fives or elbow bumps for right now!
Please wash your hands (up to your elbows) for at LEAST 20 seconds BEFORE and AFTER your session with me.
Please feel free to wipe down any piece of equipment or surface you feel needs additional care (with my provided disinfectant wipes).
In addition to our building's cleaning crew stepping up their cleaning and disinfecting protocols, I have also taken it upon myself to do the same. I've included disinfecting door knobs, pens, credit-card processing machines, and any other equipment that clients frequently come into contact with.
I also encourage you to make use of the provided hand sanitizer should you desire.
For massage clients, rest assured that your linens are clean and fresh. They have been washed using a combination of detergent and bleach and laundered using our washer's ultra-hot "sanitization" feature.
And, again... I ask that clients who are sick or not feeling well, please stay home. Let your body heal!
Despite the current recommendation on "social distancing," I also encourage you to continue your workouts. Regular physical activity is a part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. It has also been proven to benefit the immune system.
Several studies show that moderate workouts lasting an hour or less help improve your overall immune function. And they can help you de-stress, which also helps to keep your immune system healthy.
